Gymnastics for Boys & Girls

we offer: 1 hour, 1.5 hour and 2 hours classes

The first three levels of gymnastics work on basic skills, such as forward and backward rolls, cartwheels and handstands.  Our beginner level program focuses on teaching basic body positions and foundation skills. Girls learn skills on balance beam, uneven bars, vault and floor. Boys will learn skills on pommel horse, parallel bars, rings, high bar, vault, and floor.  We also offer instruction on trampoline and tumble-trak (a forty foot long trampoline tumbling surface). There's no official competition at this stage, though we annually host our in-house end of the year gala for fun and experience.

Young gymnasts both boys and girls can progress into competitive gymnastics and compete at 10 levels. Levels one, two and  three are generally considered recreational gymnasts who aren't involved in competitions. Once a gymnast gains the skills to move up to levels four through six, they can compete in what are called "compulsory" competitions. All the athletes competing at those levels do the same routines. Once they progress to the highest levels of competition, levels seven through ten, they perform "optional routines". That means they get to create their own routines and select their own music. The Pre- Elite  and Elite levels compete both compulsory and optional routines and also complete physical ability tests. This level of commitment is rare and only the most dedicated athlete achieves this level of competition.
